This is the original (1sh) Re-release movie poster AN EVENING WITH BATMAN AND ROBIN . It was issued in 1965 when Columbia decided to re-promote the original THE BATMAN Serial that came out in 1943. The Title was revised to AN EVENING WITH BATMAN AND ROBIN upon the serial's re-release in 1965. This poster is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The Serial movies star Lewis Wilson, Douglas Croft, J. Carroll Naish, Shirley Patterson, and William Austin. They were directed by Lambert Hillyer. It is an unrestored, Folded poster measuring 27" x 41". Most original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw. This original movie poster is graded C8 (Very Fine). Original movie posters are graded, from the top down, as: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine or Excellent), C7 (Fine to Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc. It is difficult to find any original movie posters pre 1985 in C10 (Mint) condition. This poster is ready for immediate framing and display. The aforementioned flaws regarding the separation at the two cross Folds and minor tears along the borders will be greatly reduced if not alleviated (i.e. no longer visible upon normal viewing of the poster) once the poster is properly laid flat and framed.
