Description
For sale is "Early and Rare: Classic Jazz Collectors Items," on Riverside RLP 12-134, MONO, DG, 1960. Compilation featuring Meade Lux Lewis, Ma Rainey, Bill Broonzy, Scott Joplin, Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton, others. SOUND : MINT It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Playback is clean, clear, perfect! VINYL : NM/MINT Record apparently had never been played. Was still in original rice-paper sleeve. The only flaw is light smudges from inner sleeve. Otherwise, the vinyl appears pristine. Small blue "mike-n-reel" labels with deep-grooves. Beautiful condition, no spindle marks. JACKET : NM Solid spine and edges all-around, corners nice. Front and back covers are clean and unmarked, beautiful condition. The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. A like-new record, plays great! Buy-it-now for $12. Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale. If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
