Trained adroitly in Amsterdam by the great Baroque specialist, Gustav Leonhardt, Curtis went on to a distinguished American and European academic and concertizing career, specializing in the keyboard masterworks of Baroque France, especially the complex and nuanced harpsichord pieces of Louis and Francois Couperin. Album here post-dates Curtis' Vox Stereo recordings from 1969 of all the great keyboard ordres of the Couperins. Thus Presumed First Edition and First or Early Pressings of this distinguished and rare Baroque keyboard recital. Jacket is Mint as well with high gloss faces and seams Intact all round. This is a superlative Sealed copy of a magnificent survey of virtuoso French Baroque keyboard tone poems.
